Local LegendSmall Town Stop

Fun stop today at Toasted on the Square even had a modern day brass monkey but I guess the proper term for it is a beermosa !! The food selection seemed pretty diverse and how about all those bagels?! Plus today they were doing something for the community and kids so we’re down for that as well!

The Full Story

Dude Destinations: Great Eats, Beermosas, and Community Vibes at Toasted on the Square If you’re looking for a spot that hits the ultimate trifecta—solid drinks, unbelievable food, and a genuine connection to the local community—put Toasted on the Square at the top of your travel list. We recently dropped by to check out what all the buzz was about, and it did not disappoint. From spin-offs on classic drinks to an impressive lineup of fresh eats, here is why Toasted on the Square earns a permanent spot on the Dude Destinations map. The Drink: Elevating the Classic "Brass Monkey" First things first: let’s talk drinks. Back in the day, a Brass Monkey was the ultimate low-key mix of malt liquor and orange juice. Toasted on the Square takes that classic concept and gives it a modern, craft-level upgrade with their Beermosa. Combining a light, crisp brew with a splash of fresh citrus juice, it’s refreshing, easy-drinking, and the perfect morning or mid-day pick-me-up. Whether you call it a modern Brass Monkey or a Beermosa, it’s a must-try signature pour that sets the tone for the entire experience. The Food: Bagels on Bagels (and So Much More) A great drink needs great food to back it up, and Toasted on the Square delivers across the board. The Bagel Selection: If you’re a bagel fan, you’re in paradise. The sheer variety and quality of bagels here are next level—crisp on the outside, perfectly chewy on the inside, and loaded with your choice of toppings or spreads. Diverse Menu Options: Beyond the bagels, the menu is surprisingly deep. Whether you're craving a heavy breakfast sandwich, a clean lunch option, or a quick snack to go with your Beermosa, there’s something for every appetite. Community-First Spirit What turns a good local spot into a true Dude Destination is how they treat the people around them. During our visit, Toasted on the Square was running an event specifically supporting local kids and giving back to the community. Seeing a business deliver top-tier food and drinks while actively investing in their town makes supporting them an absolute no-brainer. When a local joint backs the community, we’re always down to back them. The Final Verdict Toasted on the Square delivers exactly what we look for on the road: authentic energy, great food, unique local drinks, and real heart. Must-Try: The Beermosa + any specialty bagel sandwich. Vibe: Welcoming, local, and energetic. Dude Destinations Rating: Highly Recommended. Next time you’re passing through, make sure to swing by, grab a bagel, toast a Beermosa, and support a business that gives back.
